How To Donate & Request Videos

If you would like to donate to help support The Pop Arena, please click the link below or on the sidebar.

Do not consider this as a formal request for money, think of this as more of a tip jar, or an open instrument case at a musician at a street corner. However, as a way of thanking you, you may also use this to submit requests for videos from me. Anyone who makes a request of at least $20 (at one time) may request a review on any book, movie or television episode they wish (barring a few minor items listed below) and I will do my best to provide.

Each video will open with a special thank you and, if you wish, a short advertisement for your own website, Youtube channel, blog or what else you might have. With your donation, include your request, the name you want in the dedication (or if you don’t want it at all) and the site or web series you wish to advertise (if you have one).

The following cannot be requested:
-Anything that’s part of a series I’m already reviewing. At the time of this publication, that includes Animorphs, The Secret World of Alex Mack, and Hellraiser.
-Anything by K.A. Applegate and/or Michael Grant. No Everworld, Remnants, Gone, BZRK, The One and Only Ivan, etc. I plan to review all of these anyway.
-Any Goosebumps books. That’s a Halloween-only thing. You can still request episodes of the television show or any other series by R.L. Stine.
-Nothing Harry Potter related. There’s a good reason for that, trust me.
-Any movie or TV show that isn’t available on DVD. I have to be able to find it.
-Any rare book that can’t easily be found at a public library.

UPDATE 07/2015

I am now accepting requests for video games! I will do videos on any game that can easily be run on my PC, such as games through Steam or GOG. I can also review older games through emulation. Unfortunately, I do not have the means at the moment to get footage off of counsels, so those are off limits at the moment. Because games are a larger time investment, the donation level is $40 plus the price of the game. If you don’t want to pay the extra price for the game, you can always choose a game I already own. Here is the list of games I own and the systems I am willing to emulate.

If you would prefer to gift a game to me directly, my Steam account is “teamlimbo87”

Beyond that, the sky’s the limit. Videos will mostly be produced in the order they were requested in, but if I get multiple requests that fit certain themes, I may do them together. Requests may take time to finish, but none will be ignored or rushed.

This is a donation only, not a work-for-hire nor a contract. The reviews posted here and elsewhere are created for free and are for purposes of parody and/or education. These are not terms of sale, they are merely a guideline to show that anyone willing to be so generous will be thanked in the stated manner.

Thank you, and I hope to do good by you.

  1. Not so much a request, but rather a question on video editing software. What kind do you use and are there and free software download you would reccommend for someone starting out in video reviews? I’m not going for fancy, just something fun to do.

Hmmm, no current series?… Does this include Reboot?

  3. The Journey says:

Would you consider doing an analysis of what Animorphs would/could be like if updated to modern times (for example: cell phones/cameras)? It’d be cool to have your humorous take on that “What if…”

  4. Bernadette says:

My spouse and I stumbled over here from a
different website and thought I may as well check things out.

I like what I see so now i’m following you. Look forward to looking
at your web page for a second time.

I hope this reaches the right person. My name is Scott and I am the nephew of Stuart Rosen aka Dusty as featured in the video NickKnacks #13 I recently viewed on YouTube. My uncle is very pleased with your video on him and would very much like the opportunity to speak with you. If you could contact me at the email below we can arrange a call or visit. My uncle has recently been diagnosed with cancer but is still extremely alert and knowledgeable of all those days and like I said eager to converse with you. Thank you for your time.
